I was able to get down on the beach behind the Funtown Pier for about 10 minutes. My freedom ended quickly with an angry cop yelling from the pier. The light was pretty harsh so I tried again at dusk, but the tide was too high to get there from the beach. I’m not sure how long the ferris wheel will be there as I heard they will scrap it soon.
It was good to get back to Island Beach State Park and photograph the red fox. The park ranger told me the fox did well after Hurricane Sandy and are back to their normal behavior.
I took the long way home tonight. The drive along the ocean is always pretty special. Most times I have to stop somewhere and take a few shots. Tonight, it was Spring Lake that caught my eye. The skies were quite dramatic.
