07/14/16 Common Loon Chicks

Posted: December 15, 2016 in Uncategorized

This summer was a very successful year for the Loon chicks. There were about 14 on Mount Desert Island and in Acadia National Park. Most have left for open waters, but a few remain. Hopefully they will head out before the lakes and ponds freeze.

07/11/16 Acadia Coastline

Posted: December 10, 2016 in Uncategorized

Ok, I need to start posting a few times a week to catch up with the tons of photos from Acadia. I’m months behind. I’ve been back in NJ since the beginning of November. My goal is to be current by the new year. So, here is the first of many. The coastline along Acadia is such a contrast compared to the one along the Jersey Shore. Both are absolutely beautiful, but so different. Here are some shots along the Loop Road in Acadia National Park.
