The story … a man was so taken by the loss of his wife, he planted her favorite flower in a field. He planted thousands of them. All the sunflowers droop each night and come back to life with the morning sun. They are a beautiful sight as you drive by in Jackson, NJ.
Interesting compo/coloring on most recent, Ray. Nice story. Was just in a mountain garden project on a farm in Sussex Co. near Newton, last weekend, and there was a huge sunflower (seeds all gone/eaten) drooping downwards. The others were all looking straight ahead and/or UP. Sunlite was too bright mid afternoon to get any decent photos.
You captured the pain of his loss by the drooping flower and the hope of a new tomorrow by the reemerging flower! Well done, Ray!
Think I have to have one of these Ray – let me know when you are showing in Asbury again! Really nice!
