09/30/13 Stars Over Lake Placid

Posted: October 15, 2013 in Uncategorized

The weather was beautiful, the skies clear, and the foliage at peak, I couldn’t ask for more. These night images were taken at Lake Colby and Moody Pond in Saranac Lake, New York.

For my own taste, that area is just too beautiful to do trick photography with at night. Its beauty is found in the daytime hours and it’s so rare to see the fall foliage at peak up there as it happens so fast each year. As said before, it can be snowing in mid September with the flowers still in bloom from summer, and then the leaves brown/die and come down very fast.
