There were about 50 harbor seals lounging on a sand bar at Sandy Hook on the 12th. The photos are pretty weak as they were too far out even for my 500mm lens. I need to go back during low tide.

Yes, those long lens are not without problems, but WHAT A SIGHT!!!!! Hallelujia. Wished I could hike/walk out there myself to see them with my lens. Thanks for sharing. They do not seem to mind this cold weather at all. marion If you get this and have time, Art Society of Monmouth is accepting framed photos this morning for their annual Photog. Exhibit at the Monmouth Beach Cultural Arts Center, Rt. 36 So., Monmouth Beach (old lifesaving station) halfways between Driftwood and Monmouth Beach Clubs across from the big seawall. $10 per image for nonmembers. 2 max. 3 week show with a reception at the end.
