I was finally able to get to the beach in Spring Lake, NJ after Hurricane Sandy. The boardwalk is completely gone and the south pavilion had some serious damage.

I was out all night at Island Beach State Park looking to catch some meteors. The clouds won out and I didn’t get any shots of the meteors. I was able to take a few images in between the clouds.

A day at the Brooklyn Bridge with Robert Zurfluh, a friend from the Cranbury Digital Camera Club. We photographed the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges and then walked across my favorite bridge in to Manhattan. Jane’s Carousel is located just below the tower on the Brooklyn side.
I haven’t been getting out much since I got home from Acadia. Last night I headed to the ocean. Seaside is the closest beach. A “bald” sky is not a photographer’s friend, but I shot a few anyway. I also managed to get completely soaked from a wave (not the first time).
I spent the afternoon with this little guy down at Island Beach State Park. He became quite comfortable with the camera, even took a nap with me sitting a few feet away. No matter how many times I see these animals, it’s always a thrill when they allow you this close.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to the Brooklyn Bridge and Dumbo Park. Jane’s Carousel is a new addition to the park.
