Hummingbirds are extremely territorial. This is the female ruby throated hummingbird that rules my feeder. She keeps watch all day long and chases any other hummers that try to feed from it. Even though I can get very close, it’s difficult to get a decent shot. The other birds are an American Goldfinch (NJ state bird) and a Tufted Titmouse.
