01/15/15 Mergansers at Forsythe

Posted: January 26, 2015 in Uncategorized

These hooded mergansers are extremely timid. There are a bunch of them in the estuary behind my townhouse. I’ve never been able to get close enough to photograph them. But, this day at Forsythe I was able to shoot them from the car. Pretty interesting looking characters.

Don’t know why they are so shy – they are CUTE!

Another outstanding series of shots, Ray. Your work is excellent.

  3. Ray, no one else gets pictures like this from a car! Thank you for taking us with you, as we are office-bound, home-bound, snow-bound, in alternating bands…

I bet this storm brings us snowies galore at Island Beach, Holgate and Forsythe. Let me know…

I’m also waitinf for short-eared owl arrival.
