I’ve been waiting for the Cedar Waxwings to make their annual appearance at Island Beach State Park in NJ. While out looking for Snowy Owls, I ran into hundreds of them. They all were feasting on the berry bushes as usual. Lots of Robins were mixed in with the crowd. These beauties always make me happy.

Simply beautiful photography!
You captured their magnificent colors. A favorite bird to spot. Great job as always Ray.
Thanks, Angela.
Well, I’ll say it FOR you, Ray — how lucky we are that the family (ies?) who planned to develop Island Beach in the 1930s were stopped by the Great Depression. And that enlightened courageous people preserved this land, this sacred habitat!
These birds are stunning — elegant, imposing, calm, sure, dazzling. I’d rather see your birds than monarchs (humans — I’m pretty excited every time I see a monarch butterfly.) Thank you for these gifts.
What is the very colorful one? New to me… blessings c
