07/24/16 Jordan Pond Beaver

Posted: January 2, 2017 in Uncategorized

Beavers are elusive and will usually dive when they see you. Sometimes when I cross paths with one in my kayak they will slap their tails on the water to let you know they are not happy. But on this day at Jordan Pond in Acadia Park, Mr Beaver decided to play for the camera. He actually swam over to the rocks where I was sitting and decided to eat his branches just a few feet away. Needless to say, I was so excited and took hundreds of photos. After this day, I spotted him many times off in the distance, but was not able to get close again.
