05/02/17 Ospreys at IBSP

I love photographing Ospreys. Island Beach State Park is one of my favorite locations to find them. The park is only a few miles from my home and this time of year I visit it a couple of times a week. Several pairs were still busy building their nests. I’ve noticed all of the “begging” foxes are gone, haven’t seen any in months. I sure hope there are remaining foxes in the brush, hard to find as it should be.

Great series Ray! We heard the fox were moved off my the rangers due to a mange outbreak. Not sure if that is 100% accurate, but if you’re not seeing them…

  4. LIttle blue heron – what a gift, Ray Rarely found – but, yes, once kayaking Barnegat Bay among the Sedge Islands. Thank you. I hope Pete McLain, ‘on the other side’, who saved the ospreys and the peregrines, is granted full viewing privileges of the creatures he brought back to New Jersey. Blessings, Carolyn
